The full price for the 6-Week Beginner Course typically $148. This includes 6 hours of structured instruction and guaranteed progression. Same time, same day, for 6 weeks.
Do I need any dance experience to join the 6-week dance course?
Not at all! This course is designed specifically for adults who have never danced a step in their lives or those who tried and did not succeed before. Come as you are, and over 6 weeks, you'll develop the solid foundation and confidence needed to comfortably enjoy the social dance scene.
Do I need a partner to join?
The vast majority of our students come solo. We rotate partners regularly throughout the class, which is not only the best way to learn but also a fun, social way to meet new people in the Sydney Latin dance community.
What will I actually learn in the 6 weeks, and will I be able to dance socially after?
The 6-Week Beginner Courses focus entirely on the foundational steps, timing, and simple turn patterns. This structured program ensures you build confidence week-by-week. By the end, you will have a solid, repeatable foundation that will allow you to confidently participate and enjoy dancing socially at any beginner-friendly Latin event.
What should I wear and bring to my first beginner dance lesson?
We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing that allows for free movement (like gym gear or smart casual attire). For shoes, avoid thick rubber soles (like running sneakers) that can stick to the floor and make turning difficult. Flat shoes, soft-soled sneakers, or dance sneakers are best. Always remember to bring a water bottle and lots of enthusiasm!
Where is Tropical Soul located?
We’re conveniently located in Sydney’s Inner West, in the beautiful suburb of Annandale, on Parramatta Road. With plenty of nearby transport options and street parking, it’s easy to get to your dance class from anywhere in the city.
What are Tropical Soul's hours of operations?
Our offices are open from Monday - Friday from 2 pm until 9 pm. Our classes ran on the weekdays in the evening and Sundays in the aftertoon. You can find our class schedule
How do I sign up?
We prefer for new students to register online. Once you register and complete your purchase on this page, you are officially in. We'll send you class details via email and text upon submission. Otherwise, you can always come to the studio and register at reception. Make sure you arrive early.
What dance styles are available for beginner courses?
The most popular latin dancing style is SALSA, and then BACHATA. Majority of our students will sign up for SALSA, and after they have completed the beginners course, then they usually join BACHATA. But you can start with BACHATA as well.
